The Jewish Learning Institute offers an eight-week course this spring, titled "The Messiah Mystery; Toward a Perfect World," which will focus on one of Judaism's least understood — yet most central — principles of faith. * Potato Drop to Feed the Hungry takes place Saturday, June 4, from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are needed to bag 40,000 pounds of potatoes for distribution to local hunger relief agencies. Sponsored by the Society of St. Andrew, the food will feed more than 130,000 Virginians in need.
* Children's Consignment Sale takes place Saturday, June 11, from 8 a.m. to noon.
