For the third consecutive year, Christ Church opens its church yard for children's activities during Alexandria's Festival for the Arts, Sept. 8 and 9. Located at 118 N. Washington St., Christ Episcopal Church will transform its churchyard into a family fun site from noon to 4 p.m. each day.
Activities will include face painting, bead stringing, story telling, and scavenger hunts. A moon bounce in the historic churchyard adds excitement and adventure for children while shaded areas provide respite for families to relax and regroup, according to church event organizers.
