Some golfers go a whole golf career without getting a hole-in-one, but Steve Digby just got two in one day at the Laurel Hill Golf Club in Lorton. It all happened on Saturday, Aug. 8, holes 8 and 11 at Laurel Hill. Hole number eight is a 200 yard hole while number 11 is 135 yards. The odds of this happening are one in 67 million, according to the experts at the Fairfax County Park Authority.
FCPA said that approximately 15 golfers get a hole-in-one per year at Laurel Hill Golf Club but they have eight courses around the county for golfers to try their luck. The Park Authority currently plans to install a digital screen to celebrate golfers who achieve a hole-in-one.
