<sh>Woman Missing Since Christmas Eve

<bt>Fairfax County police need the public’s help in finding Brenda Hill. Hill, 47, left her home in the 7900 block of Flamingo Road in Hybla Valley at around 3:30 a.m. on Christmas Eve last year. She has not contacted her family since that time and police consider her to be an endangered missing person.

Hill is 5ft2 and weighs 110 pounds. She has short brown hair. When she was last seen, she was wearing a cream-colored sweater, blue jeans and pink and white tennis shoes. <sh>Ferrum Choir to Sing

<bt>The Ferrum Choir will perform at Aldersgate United Methodist Church on Thursday, April 18th at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary of the church. The Ferrum Choir has a repertoire of both secular and sacred pieces and has performed at many civic events as well as the Kennedy Center's "Grand Foyer Series."

<sh>Future Foreign Exchange Program?

Each year, the Fairfax County/Southwest Virginia Student Exchange program brings together high school students from urban, Northern Virginia and students from the rural counties of the southern Blue Ridge Mountains.

During the week of March 16 - 24, students visited both Southwest Virginia and Fairfax County. They stayed in each other's homes. They visited each other’s schools.

“Fairfax County students were struck by the deep sense of community they found in Southwest Virginia,” said Del. Kristen Amundson. “They had never visited a school where students did not need locks on their lockers.

“Students from Southwest Virginia were impressed with the ethnic diversity of our student population. They were also amazed by the traffic that choked the roadways.”

<sh>Refresher Workshops Planned

<bt>“Fit for Life,” an afternoon of refresher workshops for body and mind, will be held on Sunday, April 14, from 12:30-4 p.m. at River Farm in Alexandria, home of the American Horticultural Society. The event, sponsored by the National Capital Affiliate of Y-Me National Breast Cancer Organization, will feature eight rotating workshops, displays, refreshments and door prizes. Registrants may choose three of the workshops which will be held indoors and outdoors at the historical site overlooking the Potomac river. Cost is $20. To register, call 703-461-9595.
