Parks and Recreation

August 6, 2002

Take advantage of 1,145 acres of park and open space set aside for enjoyment of Arlington's natural beauty. Most parks are alongside the Four Mile Run bike trails and Potomac River drainages, providing a play area and spectacular view of Washington. Be sure to explore and find your own favorite tennis and basketball courts, playgrounds and picnic and hiking areas. For problems, call the 24-hour Maintenance Hotline at 703-228-3951. Information about any of the parks, swimming pools, nature centers or recreation centers can be accessed at www.co.arlington.va.us/prcr.
