The Welcome Club of Northern Virginia offers many special interest groups for newcomers to the Northern Virginia area, including book discussion groups, couple’s dinner groups, theater groups, cultural tour groups, and tennis and golf groups. The Kings Park Concert Band: Open to adults who played in a high school or college band and want to continue playing for the community. Concerts feature light classics, marches, popular music, and folk music from around the world. December performances focus on holiday and winter themes. Some programs also include a soloist or an ensemble.
Rehearsals are held every Tuesday evening from 7:30 until 9:45 at Fairfax Villa Elementary School, 10900 Santa Clara Drive, in Fairfax. No auditions.
