Fairfax Post Office

<bt>Since January of this year, the staff of the Fairfax Main Post Office have received two perfect scores on "mystery shopper" tests conducted by the district office. They were graded on 30 points by an anonymous customer in random checks and found to have outstanding retail service.

"The more we interact with you and share our services with you," said Postmaster John Budzynski, "the better off and happier you are dealing with us. We work to make transactions a lot more comfortable for customers."

Budzynski began his career in 1982 as a city letter carrier in Baltimore, Md. He was first promoted to a management position in 1987 and has held various positions since then including supervisor mail and delivery; superintendent postal operations; manager customer service, and manager customer service operations. He is a graduate of the Postal Service's Advanced Leadership Program.

Budzynski was raised and lived in Baltimore in the Baltimore area until moving to Fairfax in June 2001 when he became postmaster at the Fairfax Main Office. He is the father of a 16-year-old son, Steven.

The Fairfax Main Office is located at 3951 Chain Bridge Road in Fairfax City. The phone number is 703 591-0458, and the office is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to noon.
