Distance Learning Demo

<bt>Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology played host to a demonstration of distance learning equipment, in conjunction with the University of Virginia, Tuesday, Dec. 17, in the school's library. The equipment was purchased with grant funds from a United States Technology Challenge Grant of $35,000 earmarked by U.S. Rep. Tom Davis (R-11), a donation by the Kiplinger Foundation and a grant by the state of Virginia’s Department of Technology.

The demonstration is part of the first phase of a distance learning program at Jefferson involving the neurobiology class at the school. Future plans call for distance learning to be offered to other area schools.
