<bt>Kuldip Kang, Dick Huntley, Paul Henry, Tony and Jane E. Dene, and Angel Wong of ERA Teachers, Inc. achieved Eagle Status in 2002. Eagle Status is based on two levels of production and annual sales goals that were met during calendar year 2001.

<mh>ATS Comes to Dulles

<bt>Alternative Theater Solutions (ATS) is expanding to the Dulles area. ATS will be headquartered in Dulles and will focus on the design, building and installation of custom home theater and media rooms in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.

<mh>Baja Fresh Comes

To Plaza America

<bt>Baja Fresh Mexican Grill plans to open an outlet at the Plaza America Retail Center in May 2002. The restaurant chain, which operates eight Mexican-style outlets in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area, leased 2,181 square feet at the center.

During the lease transaction, Bob Solomon of Robert A. Solomon & Associates represented the tenant and Vicki Salamon of Intertech Corporation represented the owner.

<mh>Laser Eye Joins Chamber

<bt>Laser Eye Consultants have joined the Herndon Dulles Chamber of Commerce. Laser Eye Consultants is an ophthalmology private practice dedicated to laser eye surgery. They are located in Washington, D.C.

<mh>EDS Reports Earnings

<bt>EDS, which has a facility in Herndon, reported its fourth quarter 2001 earnings per share of 81 cents, excluding a one-time credit, a 16 percent increase over the comparable result of 70 cents a year ago. For all of 2001, EDS reported earnings per share, before one-time items, of $2.68, a 17 percent increase from the comparable result of $2.29 in 2000.

Comparable fourth-quarter net income rose 20 percent to $396 million, versus $331 million in the year-ago quarter. For the full year 2001, net income rose 19 percent to $1.30 billion, versus $1.09 billion in 2000.

EDS achieved record total revenue of $5.9 billion for the fourth quarter and $21.5 billion for 2001. Fourth-quarter base (non-GM) revenue grew by 19 percent at constant currency and 13 percent on an organic basis. For all of 2001, base (non-GM) revenue increased 20 percent at constant currency and 16 percent on an organic basis.
