Kent Gardens Elementary School in McLean is the recipient of a $500 grant from McLean Mobil at Salona, which was arranged for by the station’s owner, Josef Svestka. The money will be used for educational enrichment at the school, which is currently undergoing renovations and the installation of a Distance Learning Center.
Emily Guendelsberger of Oakton High School was a recipient of a college-sponsored merit scholarship award by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). She will attend Oberlin College in the fall.
