Through March 26, Great Falls United Methodist Church will offer a series of Lenten Services on Tuesday nights from 8-8:45 p.m. in the sanctuary. Reverend Richard Keller has designed these services to be a time of quiet reflection and prayer.

The public is also invited to the regular Tuesday night, 7 p.m., prayer meeting in the parlor, led by Dick and Bettey Bruss and followed by the Lenten Service. The Loudoun Jewish Congregation will celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover by hosting its seventh annual second-night Seder, Thursday, March 28, 2002, at 6.30 p.m. at the synagogue in Leesburg. Adults and children are welcome. The participatory Seder will be conducted in both Hebrew and English. Doors will open at 6 p.m. There is no charge for the Seder. Reservations are necessary. Riverside Presbyterian Church in Sterling is hosting its First Annual "Living Easter" Celebration beginning Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. with an Easter Egg Hunt at the church property on the corner of Cascades Parkway and Middlefield Drive in Cascades. The event is free and open to the public.

The celebration continues at 5:30 p.m. at Potowmack Elementary School in Cascades with a worship entitled "The Celebration of the New Day". Everyone in the surrounding communities is invited.

On Palm Sunday, March 24, the church has scheduled a children-friendly worship and recreation of the Gospel of Matthew. The Grand Parade to Jerusalem leaves Potowmack Elementary School at 9:35 a.m. and marches to the church property. People can also choose to attend the Riverside live celebration service, which begins at 10:45 at the church property. Attendees of this worship should park at the Sterling Fire and Rescue Center in Cascades, right across from the church property.

The Bahá'is of Loudoun will celebrate their New Year on the first day of the year called Naw-Ruz, on March 21. Naw-Ruz is one of the nine Holy Days each year on which Bahá'is suspend work. It always falls on March 21 and comes at the end of 19 days of fasting, when Bahà'is abstain from food and drink between the hours of sunrise and sunset. For more information, call 703-726-0310.
