Art from Older Hands at Reston Community Center, 2310 Colts Neck Road in Reston. Running through May 30, the art exhibition and contest showcases the creativity of local artists ages 55 and over. Seniors who want to exercise but have trouble standing for an entire class are invited to attend "Chair Fitness with Tanya Nickson." This on-going, drop-in course which is sponsored by the Reston Community Center takes place at the Hunters Woods Fellowship House from 10-10:45 a.m. on Mondays and Fridays through May 17. Cooking Classes: Spring Cuisines of the World - the Caribbean, Latin America and Africa. Chef Curtis Ross will explore the aromatic and vibrant spring cuisines of Africa, South America and the Caribbean in a six-week series of cooking classes. This culinary journey will begin in Cape Town, South Africa, with the Cape Malay cuisine and extend to Trinidad and its sister island Tobago in the Caribbean. Food selections will feature sautéed seafood and Chef Curtis‚ signature Cape Malay flavorings. The League of Reston Artists is hosting a Judged Exhibition at the Jo Ann Rose Gallery, Reston Community Center, Lake Anne through April 29. Non-photographer members of the League of Reston Artists will show their work and compete for cash prizes. Visitors to the exhibition during the first week will be able to vote for their favorite work.

Whimsical artist/designer Grace Wolf will display her work at the Reston Community Center, Hunter Woods through April 26.
