The Northern Virginia Bahai Center Groundbreaking and Dedication Ceremony will take place Sunday, May 26 at 2 p.m. at the NOVA Bahai Center Property in Sterling. The ceremony will be at the Cardinal Glen Subdivision, Intersection of Sterling Blvd. and Route 7. A reception will follow from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the Loudoun Room at Algonkian Regional Park.

Student Ministries is hosting its monthly SNL (Sunday Night Live) on Sunday, June 2 at 7-9:30 p.m. SNL takes place on the first Sunday of each month and is for all sixth through 12th grade students and their friends. SNL is a teen-led worship experience with the SNL Band, vocalist, dance and drama. Each month, approximately 150 teenagers regularly attend. AUMC's June SNL will be hosting "DJ and Dance Night" with "DJ Southpaw". All sixth-12th grade students are invited to enjoy a great night with DJ Southpaw and teen break-dancers on stage. Over 300 teens are expected.

Ashburn Presbyterian Church has started registration for its third annual Christian Musical Theatre Camp. The camp begins July 29 and runs through Aug. 2. Theatre Camp times are 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. daily. Registration deadline is June 1. Space is limited. The cost per student is $100. The camp is open to all youth in the community ages 11 through 16. Participants will enjoy comedic acting, lively songs and time in scripture and prayer. The theme of this year's camp is "Friends." Camp participants will give two performances at a dinner theatre at the conclusion of the week. The dinner theatre, which is open to the public, will take place on Friday, Aug. 2 and Saturday, Aug. 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets will go on sale shortly and will be available through the church office. Dr. Harry Butowsky, research historian with the National Park Service in Washington, D.C. and adjunct professor of history at George Mason University will present a lecture entitled "Germany Before Hitler." The lecture and follow-up discussion will take place Thursday, May 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Congregation Beth Emeth, 12523 Lawyers Road, Herndon. Free and open to the public. Vacation Bible School July 22-26 at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, 201 E. Frederick Drive. Located up the hill from Briar Patch Park in Sterling. 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Enjoy Bible story theater, crafts, games, and songs! Dinner is included. Open to rising K-fifth graders. Registration is $15 for one child, $25 for two siblings, up to a maximum of $30 per family. Scholarships are available. Registration deadline is June 15.
