The West Springfield High School Crew Team will provide leaf raking services to members of the Springfield community every Saturday during the month of November. Leaf raking dates are Nov. 9, 16, 23 and 30, between the hours of 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Teams of five — one adult supervisor and four rowers — will rake and bag leaves for $45 per hour. The crew will provide the rakes and manpower and the homeowner should provide the clear leaf bags. All proceeds will go toward buying new equipment for the crew team. Margaret R. Chojnacki of West Springfield High School in Springfield was one of 20 teachers named to USA Today's fifth annual All-USA Teacher First Team. The First Team was selected by a panel of judges from nominees across the country. Teachers were selected for their abilities to advance students' knowledge and make differences in people's lives.
