Inova Fairfax Hospital for Children is sponsoring two free seminars for parents in honor of Child Health Month. "Self Esteem and Bullying," for parents of school-age children and adolescents, will take place on Oct. 15 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. "Brain Smart," for parents of infants, toddlers and young school-age children will be on Oct. 23 at the same time. The instructors at Orchid Pagoda are donating resources and time to raise funds for Dr. Susan Love's Breast Cancer Foundation in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. From Oct. 20 - 26, Orchid Pagoda will be offering $50 personal-training one-hour sessions on the equipment. All contributions will be sent to the Foundation. Try the Pilates and/or Gyrotonic equipment or fit in an extra lesson with the proceeds going to a small group that directly funds research.
