Watch Candidates Debate

The League of Women Voters of Montgomery County hosted interviews with candidates to the Maryland House and Maryland Senate, County Council, U.S. Congress District 8 and Board of Education. The interviews will be broadcast on Montgomery County Cable Channel 21 at the following times.

MARYLAND, DISTRICT 15

Candidates to the Maryland House are Bill Askinazi (R), incumbent Del. Jean Cryor (R), Brian Feldman (D), Kathleen Dumais (D), Mary Kane (R), Dr. John Young (D).

Challenger Rob Garagiola (D) is challenging incumbent Sen. Jean Roesser (R-15) for the District 15 spot on the Maryland Senate.

Candidates to both the Maryland House and Maryland Senate were interviewed in a one-hour debate to be aired on Channel 21 at the following times:

* Wednesday, Oct. 23, 5 p.m.

* Sunday, Oct. 27, 4 p.m.

* Tuesday, Oct. 29, 9 p.m.

* Thursday, Oct. 31, 10:30 a.m.

* Sunday, Nov. 3, 10 p.m.

U.S. HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

District 8

Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D) challenges long-time U.S. Rep. Constance "Connie" Morella (R-8) in one of the most studied Congressional races in the country.

The one-half hour debate will be aired on Channel 21 at the following times:

* Sunday, Oct. 27, 5 p.m.

* Wednesday, Oct. 30, 8:30 p.m.

* Thursday, Oct. 31, 10 a.m.

* Sunday, Nov. 3, 9 p.m.

COUNTY COUNCIL

District One

Howard Denis (R-1) seeks reelection to the County Council over his challenger Duchy Trachtenberg (D). Denis appears by himself for the half-hour as Trachtenberg did not appear for the taping.

* Sunday, Oct. 27, 3 p.m.

* Tuesday, Oct. 29, 8:30 p.m.

* Friday, Nov. 1, 10 a.m.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

Candidates to the Montgomery County Board of Education were interviewed by the League of Women Voters. The one-hour debate will be televised on Channel 21 at the following times:
