Last week, Montgomery County Public Schools released its report on how county students performed on the 2002 Scholastic Aptitude Test as reported by the Educational Testing Service.
Compiled here is a look at the results for the three local public high schools in our area — Winston Churchill High School, Walt Whitman High School and Thomas S. Wootton High School — and how students at these schools compared to students in the rest of Montgomery County and the country.
In addition to showing how students in the three schools scored on average during the last five years, charts show participation rates and scores based on demographic information. The county's full report, in <a href="http://www.mcps.k12.md.us/info/press/SATReport2002.pdf">pdf format</a> is available online.
