Arnold Schwarzenegger, husband of Potomac native Maria Shriver and current governor of California was in Potomac over Thanksgiving weekend.
On Nov. 26, he visited the Celebrity Delly, in the Cabin John Mall at the corner of Seven Locks and Tuckerman roads. He was there with brother-in-law Mark Shriver, who is a frequent visitor to Celebrity Delly.
“It was very crowded,” said Caje Fernandes, one of the managers. “He just went in the back. Nobody disturbed him.”
Fernandes said that movie star waited in line and acted like a regular customer. “He was just like a regular guy,” he said.
“He shook everybody’s hand,” said Linda Rabey, who waited on him. “He was very nice.”
The Governor had a breakfast of scrambled eggs, hash browns, a plain, toasted bagel and decaf coffee, Rabey said.
He also posed for pictures with several of the customers and with Fernandes. Celebrities are not unusual at the deli, said Fernandes; the walls there are adorned with photos of famous diners.
