Heninburg Indicted

Four counts leveled on former executive.

An Alexandria grand jury has indicted Sandra O. Heningburg, the executive director of the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria, on four counts of embezzlement and credit card forgery and fraud.

Alexandria Commonwealth’s Attorney, S. Randolph Sengel, announced the indictments earlier this week.

Heningburg, 62, was indicted on one count of embezzlement, two counts of credit card forgery and one count of credit card fraud. The crimes allegedly occurred while she was employed by the Alexandria City Public school system as the executive director of the Scholarship Fund.

Heningburg was arrested in September and has been on leave from the Scholarship Fund since that time. If convicted on all counts, Heningburg could serve as much as 20 years in prison.
