Thomas F. Nolan III has been named general manager at The National Conference Center in Lansdowne. Nolan served as general manager at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington, the Washington Marriott and the Bethesda Marriott Suites. He began his career with Marriott in 1981 as catering sales and service manager for the company's 705-room hotel in Philadelphia. Nolan holds a bachelor of science degree in economics from Bentley College in Waltham, Mass.

The Loudoun County Convention & Visitors Association is collecting information on facilities and other services for weddings in Loudoun County for a bridal guide. The guide will be included in an exhibit at the Washington Bridal Showcase to be held Jan. 25 at the Patriot Center at George Mason University. Kinderdance, an educational dance and movement center, has opened a location at Ashburn Village Sports Pavilion on Ashburn Village Boulevard and Creme De La Creme on Springlake Court in Sterling. Ashburn resident Christine Newton is now teaching over 52 students in a total of five different authorized Kinderdance centers. Newton completed her training at Kinderdance corporate offices in Melbourne, Fla. The company offers dance, gymnastics and motor development programs for pre-school children.

Dulles-based SER Solutions, Inc. has provided ICT Group [Nasdaq: ICTG] , a provider of customer relationship management (CRM) solutions, in Newtown, Pa., with SER's Call Processing system and advanced Telephony Services Platform (TSP). The system allows ICT to expand services through their Mexico contact center, which provides sales and service support for U.S. Mexican and other Latin American markets.

Area vendors are invited to the 2003 Loudoun County Purchasing's Buyer/Seller Information Exchange sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to give area businesses the opportunity to meet the county's purchasing staff and become familiar with the county's procurement process. Representatives of area businesses are invited to attend any of the next sessions, including Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m.; Jan. 13, at 10:30 a.m.; Feb. 12, at 2 p.m.; March 17 at 10:30 a.m.; April 13 at 2 p.m.; May 20 at 10:30 a.m. and June 16 at 2 p.m.

"Small Business Taxes: Preparing for Year-End" will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Eastern Loudoun Regional Library, 21030 Whitfield Place, Sterling. The presenter, Richard Hall, is a tax specialist and small business owner who assists numerous small businesses in tax planning. SBDC programs are free of charge, but pre-registration is required. The Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce will hold its monthly Business Showcase Breakfast on Thursday, Dec. 11 from 7:30-9 a.m. The monthly networking event provides attendees with the opportunity to stand and introduce themselves.
