The Naomi Project, an eucumenical program focused on promoting healthy mothers and healthy babies needs volunteers, particularly Spanish-speaking, for an hour a week as mentors for high-risk pregnant women. The women are referred by Inova Fairfax Hospital, the Fairfax County Health department and private physicians and may be helped for up to three years. Alzheimer's Association Caregiver Support Groups invite caregivers and family members to visit their meetings. The group meets every third Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Chantilly Regional Library, 4000 Stringfellow Road, Chantilly, and every third Monday at 6 p.m. at Sunrise Assisted Living, Retreat Center, 10322 Blake Lane, Oakton. The support groups allow families to meet caregivers, to share experiences and to develop coping skills.
