Between Earth and Sky, featuring Liquid Light plant photograms by Great Falls photographer Jan Bender, opens and continues through Feb. 3 at the Artists’ Undertaking Gallery, 309 Mill St., Occoquan. The gallery is open Monday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. 703-494-0584.

Dega Gallery presents an exhibit “of small things,” featuring art in all media by over 17 regional and mid-Atlantic artists. This collection’s shared focus is the small size and scale at which each artist works. Landscapes, collages, portraits, tapestry, glassworks, jewelry featured. High Country Basketry Guild will exhibit handmade baskets, glass, porcelain, carvings and more at the Artisans United Craft Gallery through March 6, Monday-Saturday, from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., at 4022 Hummer Road, Annandale. Free. 703-941-0202.

Vienna Arts Society presents "Say it with Splash" featuring Kate Purvis, who works in a combination of pen-lettered words and collage using nonobjective and abstracted forms to interpret literature. The show will be up until Saturday, March 8. The Gallery is located at 513 Maple Avenue in Vienna. Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Free.
