Scott-Long Construction, Inc. of Chantilly has been awarded the contract for relocation of the existing Trauma Center Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital. The work is required to be completed over several phases to allow for operational staff units to be relocated separately. The work includes demolition and reconfiguration of approximately 3,000 square feet of offices, conference rooms and other common areas. The entire relocation and renovation process is expected to take place over a six-week period.

Maher and Donna Ojjeh, owner of the Maids Home Services of Fairfax, was awarded the Maids Home Services' 2002 President's Club award on June 1. The club recognized the ability to overcome obstacles and run a business during economic downturn.

Scott-Long Construction, Inc. of Chantilly has been awarded the contract for the Tower Two, Inpatient Special Care Unit project at Inova Fairfax Hospital. The interior renovation includes conversion of four hospital rooms to an eight-bed special care suite. The construction work includes demolition, relocation and additional MEP systems, millwork nurses' station, corridor door modifications, architectural finish trades and hospital equipment fix-up. The schedule plans accelerated four weeks of construction with one week allowed for owner move-in and training requirements.

Erin Thompson of Springfield recently became a consultant for Tastefully Simple, Inc., a national direct sales company based in Alexandria, Minn. As a consultant, Thompson will conduct in-home presentations of upscale, convenience-driven gourmet foods, meal ideas and recipes. Thompson joins over 12,000 consultants in 50 states and Puerto Rico employed by Tastefully Simple, which was founded in 1995.
