The Fairfax County Public School system provides public information programming on Red Apple Channel 21, which is available to Cox and Comcast cable subscribers.

REGULAR PROGRAMMING on Red Apple 21 includes:

* A live and rebroadcast of the School Board regular business meetings;

* Emergency messages;

* SchoolScene, a news program providing information about FCPS;

* edtv, a magazine-style program about FCPS;

* InSight, a talk show providing up-to-date and pertinent information about FCPS;

* Top Priority, which discusses topics of interest to parents. The program is produced in conjunction with PTA groups.

* Solving the Puzzle Together, a talk show which provides tips so that students can be successful. It also includes information for parent of students with disabilities;

* Jalsah Arabia, cultural information and school system information presented in Arabic;

* Farsi Reflections, cultural information and school system information presented in Farsi;

* The Vietnamese Show, cultural information and school system information presented in Vietnamese;

* Tiempo Latino, cultural information and school system information presented in Spanish;

* The Korean Hour, cultural information and school system information presented in Korean.

IN PROCESS are two other cable channels, Community Classroom 25, which will provide enrichment and instruction for children and adults and Teacher Channel 39/11, which is created by and is aimed at teachers and emphasizes professional development. Both channels are currently receiving satellite feeds from other cable systems, but should contain original programming by late 2003.
