Vacation Bible School, the "Son Harvest County Fair," is open to 3-year-olds through sixth graders from Aug. 4-8. Lord of Life Lutheran Church Vacation Bible School. Children 3-years-old through sixth grade can come Aug. 4-8, 9 a.m.-12 p.m. for the "Son Harvest County Fair," featuring songs, skits, crafts, games, Bible stories and snacks. A family picnic and finale is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 9. Fees are $25 per child or $60 maximum per family. An ancient tool of meditation, the labyrinth, is coming to Accotink Unitarian Universalist Church in Burke on Aug. 3. The Sunday morning service at 10 a.m. will focus on the origins and use of the labyrinth. The guest speaker will be Dexter Fox, a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Manassas. He has been a part of Trinity's Labyrinth Support Team since the church acquired one in 1999. All are invited to return to the Accotink sanctuary that day, from 6:30-9 p.m. to walk the labyrinth.
