Kfoury Construction Group, a Reston-based construction firm, completed Honda North America's new Government Affairs headquarters at 1001 G St., in Washington, D.C. The new facility features conference rooms, workroom, library and 16 offices. The Kfoury Team included project manager Paul Moore, superintendent Ross Dunbar and project coordinator Becky Fielder. The construction manager for the project was Trammell Crow and the architect was OP*X. Quadrangle Development Corporation manages the property. The project was completed on May 29.

Weichert, Realtors, Reston branch, honors Peter Burke, Rudolph Drake, and Chris Rezzana as the top graduates of the Management Awareness Program (MAP). The students were honored because of their high level of achievement in the real estate field. The office, located at 1760 Reston Parkway, Suite #111, reported closing May with $22,524,450.

North Point Mobil, of Reston, recently earned certification by AAA’s Approved Auto Repair program. The program evaluates a business on terms of workmanship, cleanliness, customer service and technician certification and includes questionnaires mailed directly to customers. The certification also means that AAA members get benefits including a free inspection for any paid repair, a 12,000 mile/12 month warranty and guaranteed written estimates.

Sallie Mae, a business which provides loans to students entering higher education, has named Tom Joyce, of Reston, vice president of corporate communications. In this role Joyce will oversee the company’s internal and external communications efforts. Prior to joining Sallie Mae Joyce was partner and chair of Minneapolis-based Carmichael Lynch Spong, a Public Relations firm, and from 1996-2001 Joyce served as vice president of public affairs for American Express Financial Advisors.
