Kim-Thu Nguyen of Springfield has achieved the dean's list at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg for fall 2002. Students on this list have kept a 3.6 quality point average.

Lauren Michal Weaver of Springfield attained the dean's list of the College of William and Mary for the fall 2002 semester. Students on the list must maintain a 3.6 quality point average.

The College of William and Mary in Williamsburg has named Michelle Toni Israel of Springfield to its dean's list for fall 2002. To achieve the list a student must have a 3.6 quality point average.

Anthony Joseph Jay III of Springfield was named to the dean's list of the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg for fall 2002. Students on this list have a 3.6 quality point average.

Craig Normand Labbe of Springfield achieved the dean's list at the College of William and Mary for the fall of 2002. Students on this list have a 3.6 quality point average.

The following students from Springfield were named to the dean's list at the University of Delaware in fall 2002: Joanna Beiter, Matthew Andrews, John Kirkwood, Keith Kirkwood, Marisa Nomi and Amanda Zemke.

Tim Grant and Krystal Grant, son and daughter of Dr. Easton and Evelyn Grant of Springfield, are members of the Lynchburg College Gospel Ensemble at Lynchburg College in central Virginia. Tim Grant is a 1999 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and Krystal Grant is a 2002 graduate of the same school.

Cadet Christopher A. Back of Springfield was named to the Virginia Military Institute dean’s list for fall 2002. Back, a freshman mechanical engineering major, is a graduate of West Springfield High School and is the son of Col. Joe T. and Mary Kay Back. To be eligible for the dean’s list, a cadet must have an average of 3.0 for all subjects with no grade below 2.0.

Christopher J. Plehal of Springfield, a Dartmouth College student in the class of 2004, traveled to Auckland, New Zealand to study Linguistics as part of the College’s Foreign Study Program during the Winter 2003 term. Dartmouth’s off-campus programs are designed to expand the college’s curriculum in new areas of academic and cultural understanding. Plehal is the son of John V. and Gareth A. Plehal.

Syracuse University in New York named Jeffrey Evans of Springfield to the dean’s list for fall 2002. To qualify for the list, students must attain a 3.4 grade point average. Evans is a freshman majoring in pre-medicine.

Heather Cable of Springfield attained the dean’s list of Syracuse University in New York in autumn 2002. Students on this list have maintained a 3.4 grade point average. Cable is a senior majoring in policy studies and public relations.

Kathleen Richardson of Springfield was on the dean’s list at Syracuse University in New York for fall 2002. The list includes students who have a 3.4 grade point average or higher. Richardson is a sophomore majoring in advertising.
