<cal1>Arrest
<cal2>10600 block of Ashby Place – On May 7, at 10:22 a.m., a parking enforcement official was attempting to have a vehicle towed from a residence due to a city code violation. A subject exited the home and got into the vehicle. The suspect allegedly struck the parking official and drove away from the area. Officers responded and located the suspect. He was identified as Arthur Lewis Packer, 50, of Ashby Place, Fairfax. He was charged with assault and battery and driving while not licensed.
10521 Lee Highway / Rite Aid – On May 9, at 1:49 a.m., officers responded to the business for a report of a robbery. Officers arrived and located a male subject inside the business. Investigation revealed that the subject had been drinking and was attempting to get medication from the pharmacists. When the pharmacist refused, he implied that he had a gun and that he just wanted the medication. The suspect was identified as Christopher Scott Kohne, 22, of Richard Avenue in Fairfax. He was arrested and taken to the jail where he was charged with attempted robbery and being drunk in public.
<cal1>Assault
<cal2>3220 Old Lee Highway / Lamb Center – On May 8, at 3:15 p.m., the victim reports that she was assaulted while sitting outside the business. The victim obtained a warrant for the suspect charging him with assault and battery. The suspect was identified as Samuel Edward Young, 28, of no fixed address. He was arrested and taken to the jail. His bond was set at $1,000.
<cal1>Embezzlement
<cal2>10730 Lee Highway / Blockbusters – Sometime between April 20 and April 22, an employee was found to have been stealing money from the business. The employee was identified as Jose Isaac Vallejos Pichilingue, 19, of Cavalier Court, Fairfax. He was arrested, taken to the jail and charged with embezzlement.
<cal1>Fugitive From Justice
<cal2>Lee Highway & Draper Drive – On May 7, at 10:13 p.m., an officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. While checking the driver’s status, it was determined that the driver had two outstanding warrants. One warrant was from the City of Falls Church and the other was from Montgomery County, Md. He was arrested and identified as Rodrigo Mendizabil, 40, of Draper Drive, Fairfax. He was taken to the jail and charged with being a fugitive from justice. The outstanding warrant from the City of Falls Church was also served. He was then held at the county jail.

<cal2>Parking Lot of 10675 Lee Highway / Paul VI High School – On May 2, between 12:30 p.m. and 7:19 p.m., unknown person(s) broke out a window on a vehicle parked at the school and stole items from inside.
11180 Main St. / Comfort Inn – On May 3, between 8:30 a.m. and 8:45 a.m., unknown person(s) stole the wallet from a purse left unattended in a hotel restaurant.
9962 Main St. / Cyber Blue Café – On May 3, between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a bicycle parked in front of the business.
9555 Arlington Blvd. / Fairfax Circle Chevron – Sometime between May 4 and May 5, unknown person(s) broke into a soda vending machine and stole money from inside.
10390 Willard Way / CVS – On May 6, at 8:30 a.m., unknown person(s) stole a bicycle left in front of the business.
3260 Old Lee Highway / Arties – On May 6, between 6 p.m. and 9:51 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a credit card from an employee's purse left unsecured at the business. The suspect then used the credit card at various locations within the city. The Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the case.
10300 Eaton Place / Family Lender Inc. – Sometime between May 6 and May 7, unknown person(s) stole a laptop computer, a checkbook and a passport from the office.
3800 block of Chain Bridge Road – On April 24, unknown person(s) stole a package left at the front door of a residence.
11054 Lee Highway / Borders Bookstore – On May 6, unknown person(s) cashed a counterfeit travelers check at the store.
10200 block of Antietam Ave. – Sometime between May 8 and May 9, unknown person(s) stole a car stereo from a vehicle parked at a residence.
10911 Main St. / 7-11 – On April 28, at 7:57 p.m., three subject entered the store and stole cartons of cigarettes from the business.
3162 Roanoke St. / Fairfax Auto Body – On April 23, between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., unknown person(s) stole a gasoline credit card from a vehicle at the business.
<cal1>Stolen Auto
<cal2>Parking Lot of 10028 Mosby Woods Drive – Sometime between May 2 and May 4, unknown person(s) stole a blue 1986 Isuzu from the parking lot of the complex. The Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the case.
11165 Main St. / Ted Britt Ford – Sometime between May 3 and May 5, unknown person(s) stole a Grey 1997 Ford Probe from the dealership lot. The Criminal Investigation Division is investigating the case.
<cal1>Stolen Auto Recovery
<cal2>10100 block of Mosby Woods Drive – On April 30, at 12:35 a.m., a vehicle was towed from the street. When the towing company reported the tow, the vehicle was found to have been reported stolen from Fairfax County. The county police were notified of the recovery.
10500 block of Assembly Drive – On May 2, officers responded to the area for a subject looking into a vehicle. Officers arrived and located the subject, who was found to be the owner of the vehicle. The owner reported that his vehicle had been stolen in Fairfax County and that he was told where he could find the vehicle. The county police were notified of the recovery.
10000 block of Mosby Woods Drive – On May 7, the owner located the blue 1986 Isuzu reported stolen previously in the week. The vehicle was located parked in a different location in the parking lot. There are no suspect(s). The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
<cal1>Strong Armed Robbery
<cal2>9471 Arlington Blvd. / Foxcroft Colony Condominiums – On May 5, at 9:10 p.m., the victim reports that while talking on his cellular phone in front of the building, he was robbed. The victim stated that he was approached by a Hispanic male, 18 or 19 years old, 6 feet tall, thin build, and wearing a dark jacket, white and black striped pants and displaying a knife. The suspect took money from the victim along with a gold necklace. The suspect left the area. The area was searched but the suspect could not be located. The Criminal Investigations Division is investigating the case.
<cal1>Vandalism
<cal2>10418 Main St. / Monsoon Restaurant – Sometime between May 2 and May 3, unknown person(s) vandalized the exterior of the business. The unknown person(s) wrote a threatening message and tore a banner.
10900 block of Maple St. – On May 3, between 1:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m., unknown person(s) broke out a window on a vehicle parked in front of a residence.
3900 block of Lyndhurst Drive / Lyndhurst Condominiums – On May 5, at 5:04 a.m., an officer responded for a report of a vehicle window being broken out. While investigating the incident, the officer located two other vehicles with windows broken out. It appears that a BB pellet being shot at them shattered the windows. There are no suspect(s) at this time.
9700 Lee Highway / Econo Lodge – Sometime between May 3 and May 6, unknown person(s) vandalized a brick wall at the business.
3600 block of Heritage Lane – Sometime between May 6 and May 7, unknown person(s) damaged a fence at a residence.
