A community meeting to discuss the special education staffing plan for Montgomery County Public Schools will be held at Carver Educational Services Center, Room 114.

Monday, May 19, 7-9 p.m.

Park and Planning will hold the first of two public forums on the county’s Legacy Open Space program. 8787 Georgia Ave., Silver Spring. Call 301-650-4360.

Thursday, May 29, 7 to 9 p.m.

U.S. Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-8) will hold a town hall meeting in Rockville at the Executive Office Building, 101 Monroe Street.

Wednesday, June 11, 7 p.m.

Park and Planning is holding several public hearings about the Master Plan of Bikeways. The closest to Potomac will be held at the above time at the B-CC Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda.

Monday, June 16, 7 p.m.

A public forum, hosted by the Western Montgomery County Citizens Advisory Board will be held to discuss the county’s FY05-10 Capital Improvements Program budget. Capital Improvements include costs for major construction and renovation of such facilities as schools, roads, parks, libraries, among others. The forum is designed to help set priorities for improvements in the western area of the county, which includes Potomac. The forum will be held at the B-CC Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda.
