The Reston Association Human Resources Department will be offering extended offices hours, from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Thursday, through June 20. The extended schedule was developed to accommodate those individuals who find it difficult to visit the office during the regular working hours. The Reston Association is located at 1930 Isaac Newton Square and the Human Resources Department is located in the second floor of the building. Kids R First will hold its Second Annual Golf Classic at 9 a.m. on Friday, June 27, at South Riding Golfers' Club in Chantilly. Proceeds from the tournament will help to provide school supplies in the fall of 2003 for 10,000 students from families in need in the Dulles corridor area. The golfing package will include a cart equipped with color parview GPS system, continental breakfast, catered lunch, goodie bag, and prizes. Various levels of sponsorship are available for individuals, families, and businesses. A portion of the fee is tax-deductible.

Raffle tickets are being sold for $20 each. The winner will receive a five-day stay for two in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The drawing will be held at the conclusion of the tournament on June 27. The winner need not be present.

Three Wishes Program makes power wheelchairs available to senior citizens (65 years and up) and the permanently disabled with no cost to the recipient if they qualify. The power wheelchairs are provided to those who cannot walk and cannot self-propel a manual wheelchair in their home, and who meet the additional guidelines of the program. No deposit is required. The Northern Virginia Family Service needs foster families for abused and neglected children. African-American families are particularly needed.
