The holiday season got off to a bright and musical start Saturday with the eighth annual Herndon Lights Up the Holidays festivities at Worldgate Centre.
The evening included a horse-drawn hay ride, crafts, face painting, photographs with Santa Claus and hot chocolate and cookies.
In addition, entertainment was provided by the Herndon Town Singers, Chantilly High Chorus, Herndon High Sax Ensemble, Ox Hill Baptist Church Bell Ringers, Hutchison Elementary Chorus, magician Joe Romano, the Worldgate Studio Dance and the Herndon Town Orchestra.
There were plenty of tasty samples from Worldgate eateries and a chance to win prizes from the center's businesses.
