Judith Loomis, a Reston designer, was selected to decorate and landscape a large new Van Metre home east of Leesburg as a fundraising project for the Loudoun Arts Council. The Designer Showhouse, featuring her Media Room design, was on view through Oct. 5. Loomis is an expert in designing with Feng Shui.
Supervisor Cathy Hudgins (D-Hunter Mill) has been honored with the 2003 Education Leadership award from the WIN-WIN Strategies Foundation. The group recognized both Hudgins and Sen. George Allen for their "vision and leadership supporting initiatives that promote the use of technology in education." WIN-WIN Strategies is a private foundation created by Lori Remley Mody, co-founder of SIGNAL Corporation (now General Dynamics).
