Credit Where Credit Is Due

Letter to the Editor

<bt>To the Editor:

I feel a strong need to respond to an article in the Thursday, Sept. 25, Fairfax Connection. It states that during the recent power outage, Del. Chap Petersen's (D-37th) office did not make an effort to help me get my power restored.

As a single parent of a quadriplegic young man with serious medical needs, it was important to try to restore power to us as soon as humanly possible.

As of Monday, Sept. 22, that had not occurred. I had no such communication with Dominion Virginia Power for the previous 3 1/2 days concerning my needs.

Chap Petersen's office was instrumental in conveying my needs to Dominion Virginia Power on Monday, Sept. 22, and the power was restored later that evening. I credit his office with helping to achieve that end.

Please give proper credit where credit is due.
