Walkathon for Helping Homeless

Loudoun-based Good Shepherd Alliance (GSA) Emergency Homeless Shelters joins Lockheed Martin integrated Force Management Solutions (iFMS) to participate Saturday in the 5K Help the Homeless Community Walk at the Reston Town Center. Approximately 146 employees, families, friends and volunteers participated in the walk to help support the homeless in Northern Virginia, raising about $5,000 for GSA to help fund its community outreach programs. The Fannie Mae Foundation is hosting the walkathon and five other metropolitan area walkathons to raise awareness and funding for metropolitan nonprofit organizations working to prevent and end homelessness.
