Benjamin Louis Young of Burke has received the Thompson S. & Sarah S. Baker Scholarship as an incoming student at Davidson College. Young is enrolled with the Class of 2008. Young, a graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School of Science & Technology, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Young of Burke.

The following Fairfax Station residents recently graduated from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg: Corrine Lenore Belt, Kelly Ann Arcole, Jacqueline May Jacobs, Tamara Eileen Kruep, Kevin Robert Mayer, Jodi Alyssa Rose, Ashley Lauren Sheffel, Lindsey Ann Wagner, Sara Rae Waller and Elizabeth Kathleen Culyba.

Alexander B. Layendecker has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy. Layendecker, a 2003 graduate of Lake Braddock Secondary School, is the son of Dennis and Myriam Layendecker of Burke.

Ahsley R. Dixon has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy. Dixon, a 2004 graduate of Lake Braddock High School, is the child of John and Deborah Dixon of Burke.

Benjamin K. Reade has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy. Reade, a 2003 graduate of Robinson High School, is the son of Kirk and Susan Reade of Fairfax Station.

Nicole M. Graziano has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy. Graziano, a 2004 graduate of Lake Braddock High School, is the daughter of Marjorie and Alfred Graziano of Burke.

James R. Bresnahan has entered basic cadet training at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., in preparation to enter the first academic year at the academy. Bresnahan, a 2004 graduate of Woodson High School, Fairfax, is the son of Bill and Carol Bresnahan of Fairfax Station.
