On Dec. 4, the City of Fairfax kicked off its Festival of Lights and Carols, and one of the first events was Santa's arrival for lunch. St. Nick dropped in on a pizza party at Old Town Hall, terrifying the younger children and delighting the older ones.
Others roasted marshmallows over the yule log in the Kitty Pozer Garden, took tours of the Ratcliffe-Allison House or visited the train display at 10413 North St.
Santa will continue to visit Fairfax on Saturdays and Sundays, through Dec. 19, from 5-8 p.m., in the Kitty Pozer Garden behind Old Town Hall.
