<sh>Local Teen-Ager is Shot

<bt>Fairfax County police are looking for whoever shot an 18-year-old Clifton boy, Monday night, in Clifton's Hanna Estates community. He was shot in the lower back and rushed to Inova Fairfax Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police responded around 10:15 p.m. to a report of a shooting in the 14000 block of Pickets Post Road. They declined to reveal further details of the incident — such as whether the victim and assailant knew each other, and any possible motive for the crime.

However, they did say that the shooting took place outside, rather than inside a home. Detectives also say they have several leads and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with any information relating to this case or the parties involved is asked to call police at 703-691-2131 or Fairfax County Crime Solvers at 1-800-673-2777.

<sh>Grapevine Lawn Deer Stolen

This time, sometime between Friday night Dec. 10 and Saturday morning, Dec. 11, someone stole two grapevine lawn deer that were decorating the front yard of a home in Sully Estates.

The deer were painted gold and had lights; the buck was about 4 feet tall, and the doe was approximately 3 feet tall. They're valued at $35 each. Anyone with information about this incident or whoever was involved is asked to call Fairfax County police at 703-691-2131.
