For the second year in a row, Northern Virginia Community College has been ranked by Community College Week as the top producer of business degrees among two-year degree-granting institutions. NVCC ranked in several other categories, including overall number of degrees conferred. Community College Week is a bi-weekly publication for and about two-year college faculty, administrators and trustees.
Caitlin Herman of Springfield was named to the dean's list for the 2004 Spring semester at Lynchburg College. Herman, daughter of Stanley and Carol Herman of Springfield, is a junior sociology major.
Christopher J. Plehal of Springfield graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College, receiving his bachelor of arts degree in Linguistics and a minor in English. Plehal is the son of John V. Plehal and Gareth A. Plehal of Springfield.
