More than 50 executives, representing a cross-section

of Loudoun County community, attended the Loudoun Broadband Forum held June 3 to discuss the importance of widening the availability of broadband — a term that refers to any type of high-speed Internet service. The event was held at The George Washington University's Virginia Campus in Ashburn. The Forum was organized by the Loudoun Broadband Coalition, which was created by the Technology Committee of the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce and the Loudoun County Department of Economic Development Commission.

Keynote speakers were Gordie Zeigler, executive director of New Century Technology Council, who discussed his experiences with broadband in Roanoke ; while Andrew Cohill, founder and president of Design Nine, explained how broadband was introduced to the Blacksburg area. For more information, visit www.loudounchamber.org
