Ashburn resident Ken Buchanan has launched his songwriting career with a collection of 10 songs and the creation of That Black Box LLC. The songs are available for contract to music publishers, producers, A&R and recording artists and can be heard in .mp3 format at www.thatblackbox.com. A CD of the songs can be purchased via the website. The debut songs were selected by Buchanan to provide a variety of tempos and themes. The songs include: "Do Not Push" (a country rocker), "For What It’s Worth" (a ballad), "Last Exit Before Toll" (contemporary Christian), "She Cries Inside" (R&B) and "That Black Box" (a semi-autobiographical tale about a man that in the wake of the 9/11 tragedy digs his forgotten songs out of an old crate).
