Lymphedema Group Meeting takes place at the Life with Cancer Family Center, suite 203 in room B, on Wednesday, June 23, at 7 p.m. Meet with others who have hereditary or secondary lymphedema resulting from surgery, radiation or trauma to the lymphatic system. A certified lymphedema therapist and an oncology counselor will facilitate discussion about physical and emotional concerns. Caregivers Meetings convene on Wednesdays, June 23 and 30 at 7 p.m., at the Inova Fairfax Woman's Center, Radiation Oncology Conference Room, 3300 Gallows Road. * A general bereavement support group for anyone grieving the death of a loved one meets the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting is on July 7.

* Widow/widower bereavement support groups for anyone grieving the death of a spouse. One support group meets on the first and third Thursday of each month at 2 p.m. and the other meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m.

* A suicide survivors bereavement support group for anyone grieving the loss of a loved one to suicide meets the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The next meeting is July 6.

Good Grief for Children, 5-12 years old. Mondays through July 26, at 5 p.m., at the Life with Cancer Family Center, 2832 Juniper St. This eight-week group session is open to children who have lost a loved one to cancer. Age appropriate activities and art therapy specially designed to help children share thoughts, feelings and memories that help them with the grief process. For more information call 703-208-5623.

Schedule an individual appointment with registered dietitian Julie Thorsen from Inova Fairfax Cancer Center's Cancer Patient Nutrition Support Program and learn how to optimize your nutritional status related to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
