Julie Malinowski of Ashburn was the one-millionth visitor to the National Air & Space Museum's Steven F. Udvar Hazy Center in Dulles since its December opening on June 8, receiving numerous goods and services from local businesses. >Sheriff Steve Simpson awarded Eric Steenstra, 41, of Loudoun, a certificate of appreciation Monday, June 7, for saving the lives of two sisters who fell through the ice of a neighborhood pond this past winter. On Feb. 19, Steenstra jumped into the water after the two girls, ages 6 and 8, pulling them both to safety, allowing for their full recovery.
