McLean-based First Horizon Bank has announced the June 17 opening of its seventh Reston location. This financial center completes the company's first phase of openings in the Washington, D.C. region. The new bank is located at 12170 Sunset Hills Road. William Berg, who most recently served as branch manager and assistant vice president for Wachovia, will manage the Reston bank.

Reston's Rapid Building Systems is laying the patented Terratop product Ñ an interlocking system of concrete modular units Ñ to tackle an erosion control project at Lake Anne's Waterview cluster of Orchard Lane. The project will replace the deteriorating timbers used to construct the original Lake Anne bulkhead with a permanent and ecologically-sound material, a Rapid Building System press release said. The inventor of Terrastop and president of Rapid Building Systems, Jorge Pardo, is a long-time Reston resident.

Millennium Bank of Reston has named Anita L. Shull of Winchester as its new president. This election by the Board of Directors means Shull will direct day-to-day operations at the bank. Shull began with Millennium in the fall of 2002 as Chief Operations Officer. During her tenure, Shull spearheaded the re-organization of Millennium, including the organizationÕs release from a Memorandum of Understanding with the Office of Comptroller of the Currency of the United States Treasury Department and public stock offerings tallying nearly $30 million, a bank press release said.
