YMCA Reston Celebrates YMCA Healthy Kids Day. 3-5 p.m. at YMCA Reston, 12196 Sunset Hills Road, Reston. Free. Children and families are invited to come to the YMCA Reston to participate in fitness activities and learn about all the fun resources and classes available at the Y. The day will include many ways for children to participate in healthy activities such as exercise classes, games, open swim, face painting and arts & crafts. Children and families will also have the opportunity to learn about fire safety from the Herndon Fire Department, get an eye exam from the Reston Lion's Club and visit with nutritionists, chiropractors and representatives from the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, CHADD of Northern Virginia and the WIC Board of Health. Music for the day will be provided by Hot 99.5 and free food will be available from Whole Foods. The YMCA Reston will also offer opportunities to win a free month of membership, free swim lessons and new members that sign up between now and April 4 will receive a discount of 50 percent off the joiner fee. Benefit Fashion Show. Area residents will be able to preview Weekenders USA’s international Spring/Summer styles in a benefit fashion show at 2 p.m. at the Reston Sheraton Hotel. Members of Herndon’s local chapter of the Red Hat Society, Ladies with Hattitude, will be donning the new fashions to benefit the Fairfax Area Christian Emergency & Transitional Services (FACETS) Attendees will be treated to an English tea, a Weekenders gift certificate, complimentary seat massages by For Health & Balance as well as a goodie bag. There will also be door prizes and a raffle. Admission is $15 with a portion of the proceeds going to FACETS. Weekenders and Ladies with Hattitude will be donating several new outfits to the organization.

Concert. Chris Van Cleave, will present a concert on at 7:30 p.m. at Unity Life Center, 14088-C Sullyfield Circle, Chantilly. This singer/songwriter and actor is known for his portrayal of Jesus in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” “Godspell,” “Stabat Mater”, and in “Let All Heaven Rejoice.” Donations of $15 requested.

Potomac Watershed Clean-up. Join Reston Association staff and volunteers from 9 a.m.-noon in a multi-state efforts in cleaning up the Potomac Watershed. Come prepared to get a little wet & dirty. Senior Senior Prom. The Reston Rotary Club and the Herndon Rotary Club are joining to present the Senior Senior Prom, an event that will bring senior citizens together with students and community members for an afternoon of entertainment and dancing. The event will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Reston Community Center at Hunters Woods. Seniors ages 50 or older are invited to attend to hear the live, 16-piece band and dance along with the Loudoun Jazz Ensemble with singers and dancers.
