Plant Clinic. Every Saturday in May, at 10 a.m., join the Neighborhood Plant Clinic and Fairfax County's Master Gardener's Association for advice on gardening problems, at the Kings Park Library, 9000 Burke Lake Road, Burke. For more information, call 703-978-5600.

The Artisans United Craft Gallery features the theme of "Shades of the Season" in a full-time fine craft sale and exhibition through Wednesday, June 30. On Mondays through Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., four dozen-plus juried artisans will show and sell handmade and decorated pieces including pottery, baskets, glass, porcelain, wearables, photography, cards, polymer clay, watercolors and more. Historic Exhibit. Daily, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Fairfax Museum and Visitor Center, 10209 Main St., Fairfax, presents "Raids, Romance and Writings" in the Gano Gallery. Discover how the Confederate partisan leader John S. Mosby captured a Union general in March 1863 and other Civil War trivia. Group tours available. Call 703-385-8414.

New Mothers Lunch Group. Mothers and babies newborn to 8 months old, are invited for lunch, speakers, discussions and a fun, different program every week. Meet other new moms and babies in the Northern Virginia area. Babies are welcome. Reservations are required and each lunch costs $20.
