<sh>Robbery at Bank in Tysons

<bt>Fairfax County Police report that a Tysons Corner-area bank was robbed on Friday, Oct. 1. At about 6:30 p.m., a man walked into the Chevy Chase Bank on Fletcher Street and approached a teller's window with a note that was threatening in nature. The man left after the teller relinquished the cash. According to a police release, the suspect may have been driving a white, older model car. No one was injured. The suspect was described as Hispanic, in his late 20s, 5 feet 5 inches tall, wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a black baseball cap. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police at 703-691-2131 or Crime Solvers at 1-800-673-2777. Callers may remain anonymous.

<bt>United Auto Workers/General Motors (UAW-GM) matches donations made to the Make-a-Wish Foundation through Oct. 23. <sh>Town Hall Closed for Holiday

<bt>Vienna Town Hall will be closed on Monday, Oct. 11, for Columbus Day. Trash will be picked up as usual that day for town residents on the Monday collection route.
