Suspect Wanted

Sheriff's investigators in conjunction with Loudoun Crime Solvers are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect from a surveillance video still believed to be involved in an August larceny.

According to the Sheriff's Office, a witness claims to have seen a man enter a parked vehicle at the BP Gas Station on Glenn Drive in Sterling on the night of Aug. 11. The suspect possibly stole money from the vehicle as the victim slept

inside. The suspect was said to be driving a gray or silver car.

Surveillance video shows the possible suspect entering the store of the gas station just prior to the larceny. He is described as a light-skinned, black male.

Deputies initially responded to the BP Gas Station at 11:30 p.m. for a report of a suspicious person. Deputies found a Sterling man asleep in a vehicle. They learned that the man had his money taken from his wallet while he was asleep in his van.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Investigator S. Angelo of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division at 703-777-0475. To remain anonymous, contact Loudoun Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919. If the tip leads to an arrest and indictment in the case, the caller could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
