Jason G. Buttram graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. He is the son of David and Suzette Buttram of 35th Street South, Arlington. Buttram is currently attending North Georgia College and State University, Dahlonega.
Army Spec. Jason Choi has returned to Fort Drum, Watertown, N.Y., after being deployed to Iraq in support of Operations Iraqi Freedom. The redeployed soldier is a member of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (light infantry) at Fort Drum. He was awarded the Global War on Terrorism Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the National Defense Service Medal for his participation in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Choi, a training room supervisor, is the son of Jung-ja Bang of 22nd St. North, Arlington.
Douglas C. Beer graduated from the Army ROTC Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as "Operation Warrior Forge," at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. Beer is the son of Richard C. and Ann D. Beer of Havana Place, Dulles. He is a 2002 graduate of Bishop O'Connell High School, Arlington.
Navy Seaman Recruit Joshua L. Turner, son of Gordon R. Turner of Arlington and Nancy J. Turner of Ridgecrest, Calif., recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.
