Artist/cartoonist Andy Farkas will teach a four-day cartooning workshop for children aged 10-14. The workshop will run Tuesday-Friday, Dec. 27-30, from 9 a.m.- noon, at the Loudoun Academy of the Arts in Leesburg.

Students will develop their own characters as well as learn about design and production. Farkas will also work individually with students to teach them how to tell their stories and how to draw their comics, cartoons and caricatures. The cost of the workshop is $130 plus $15 supply fee. Advance registration is necessary.

Douglass Community Center will be holding two different sessions of a Latin ballroom dance workshop. The class is for ages 14 and older and no partner is required.

Class will meet for six sessions, either on Mondays, from Jan. 23-Feb. 27 or Fridays, from Jan. 27-March 3. Each class meets from 7-8 p.m., in the multipurpose room at the Douglass Community Center in Leesburg. Cost is $60 per person.

A Better Way to Fitness LLC offers a new, total-body fitness program designed to get moms and dads fit and toddlers play. Dance 'N Play classes will be offered at Douglass Community Center Thursdays, at 9:30 a.m., classes will last
