Herndon’s Southview Baptist Church performed its fourth annual Living Nativity on Friday, Dec. 2 and Saturday, Dec. 3. The annual display began in 2002 with a lone Nativity scene and has grown to now include six live scenes and several live barnyard animals.
The animals are rented every year from the Bar-C Ranch in Berryville.
Preparation for the event begins in July with hands-on production starting just after Halloween every year. During its annual two-night run, the Living Nativity typically receives more than 200 visitors per night and attendance is growing every year.
